Statement of Faith

 

1. The Holy Bible is True

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, and of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

 

2. God is a Triune God

We believe that there is one living, true, infinitely intelligent, Triune God-- eternally existent as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

 

3. Jesus Christ is God

We believe that Jesus Christ is the express image of the invisible God, which is to say He is God; that He became man. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, where He is now, acting as our interceding High Priest; and that He will return again personally, visibly, and gloriously.

 

4. Man Needs Salvation Which is a Work of God

We believe salvation is wholly of God, by grace alone; not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone; that God in love gave His only Son to die on the cross for sin, thus procuring the redemption of those who are lost and sinful, yet come to Him; that this salvation is not merited in any way by man; that God commands men everywhere to repent of sin and believe in Christ. Both justification and sanctification are the work of the Holy Spirit in those who trust in Jesus for their salvation.

 

5. Marriage is Solely Between a Man and Woman

We believe that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God from the beginning of human history. We believe marriage is designed to be between one man and one woman, and any other definition of marriage is contrary to the clear teachings of the Word of God.

 

6. Mankind is Made in God's Image, Male and Female*

We believe that every person should be treated with compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Simultaneously, we affirm that God created mankind in His image, male and female, and that efforts to adopt a gender identity other than one's birth sex run contrary to His sacred design.

 

7. Every Person is Precious

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image.  Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from creation of life through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.
